SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES
Do not come to the barn if you a) have any COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive, b) have been in contact with someone who has symptoms or tested positive, or c) have travelled outside of Ontario in the past 14 days.

If a), b), or c) above apply to you, please self isolate for a minimum of 14 days and be symptom free before returning to the barn.

The barn is open to non-staff, including boarders, their designate (e.g., part boarder), guardian, or trainer, in the assigned time slots per barn to provide exercise (lunging or riding) and grooming.  Note that a guardian with minor counts as 2 people.

Only 5 non-staff persons can be in the barn at a time (one person per horse, if multiple riders per horse please alternate days)

TIMES TO BE AT THE BARN
Time slots have been emailed to boarders. Any non-staff members should only be at the barn for their assigned time slot unless it is for medical emergency.

Please be courteous to others and not spend the whole time slot to attend to one horse (2hrs max unless needed longer please confirm availability).

WHEN COMING TO THE BARN
Please come up during your time slot ONLY (do not come up earlier or later). Please be on time, not early or late. Please be as efficient in arriving and departing as possible.

We strongly recommend wearing face-coverings while in the barn grooming and caring for your horse as sometimes distancing is challenging in the aisles.

Do not share equipment (when lessons begin for outsiders staff will be brought in to tack up for students).

We strongly recommend tacking up in your horses’ stall. If there is someone else in your aisle trying to pass (including a person working or walking), you must immediately put your horse in it’s stall to allow them to pass.

Clean up any poop after riding / exercising your horse.

Sweep up the aisle after yourself.

We are doing everything we can to make it possible for you to exercise your horse and comply with provincial orders and legislation. I understand that it can be frustrating to have your time at the barn restricted. As the province starts to reopen, guidance from the provincial government is continuously updated. As soon as we know of any further changes in legislation, we will let you know. These policies have been developed to comply with provincial legislation and follow Equine Canada and Ontario Equestrian recommendations for re-opening stables during the COVID-19 pandemic.
